Greyed lavender and greyed brown reverse bi-tone on cool days. Greyed
lavender and red reverse bi-tone on hot days. Chartreuse throat, purplish
band. Strong scapes. 3 branches, 17 buds. Fertile. Kids are spooky grey or brown or red or purple colors.

Cream lavender with large saturated blue-ish purple eye. Occasional patterning, cream midribs, small green throat. 3 branches, 23 buds.
This is the long awaited “blue 2” seedling that puts an indelible stamp of a huge eye on almost every kid. Not only a supreme hybridizers plant, but a great garden plant too. Hard to pass it up with that look. It will pattern to a small degree, but mainly a solid eye. I have at least 7! Future intros from it! Reliable rebloom once established here.

Ruffled cream-white with faint lavender eye (eye color is darker in cooler temperatures, just a shadowy hint in heat.)
Some creped texture on the bloom, light green throat, and strong upright scapes. It has 4 branches and 24 buds.

Makes Me Wonder (Murphy, 2026) 30” Mid-Late 6.5” dormant diploid
UF Crispate. Very saturated dark red with black-red towards toward the ends of the tepals. Red star above speckled yellow throat. 4 branches, 20 buds. Until I bloomed its seedlings, there were no more saturated color daylilies here. Quite sunfast, fast grower, easy parent. Great saturated color kids.

Lavender-red bicolor with purple band, green to cream throat, and cream
midribs. 6 branches, 21 buds. Very well spaced blooms with an unusually long bloom season. Some rebloom. Sturdy scapes, smokey color on cool mornings, quite sunfast. Easy parent. Another in the Ocean line of my introductions. Ocean Spirit, Ocean Depths, Ocean Tides, Oceana, and this one. All are well branched.

2 branches and 15 buds, but with a long and slow season of bloom. Lavender bitone with very large green to yellow throat. Sepal tips are sometimes pointed. This is a striking and eyecatching daylily in the early garden. Sepals are pointed during cold overnights and wet mornings. Extremely sunfast.

Organized Wine (Murphy, 2026) 38” Late 7” dormant diploid UF crispate.
Black- purple to wine. Lighter edges and midribs, light green throat. Exhibits
variable crispate forms. 4 branches, 18 buds. Blooms late for a very long time, with budbuilding. Has very three dimensional blooms- see images. Easy parent. Can bloom taller as it budbuilds in good conditions.

Mulberry red with a veined and patterned eye that is a lighter lavender, white eye on sepals with white edges, light
green throat. It is ruffled, with good substance. Pod fertile and a good parent. A strong bud builder! It has 2 branches and starts the season with 10 buds but ends with 22 buds!

Thomas Frederick (Murphy, 2026) 42” La 8” dormant diploid, UF Crispate
Cream and Lemon-cream reverse bi-tone with lavender eye, large green throat.
Bud Builder, produces proliferations. 6 branches, 44 buds! Thomas Frederick is named for Marcia Zech’s grandson. This plant starts blooming late, and bud builds until near frost with good conditions. It has big, healthy proliferations. On several scapes this year in a good location, it went from bud counts in the mid forties at bloom time to budcounts in the mid 80s via budbuilding. Sets pods, but not easily. Excellent parent for amply branched and budded lates with eyes.
